My first week at home!!

Well I have officially been home one week!!! I decided to celebrate by sleeping for 5 1/2 hours last night straight!! My mom fed me and then we went back to sleep for another 1 1/2 hours. We had a busy week, we went to the doctor on Monday, to quiznos, and then to Target,

Tuesday my mom needed out of the house so we went to Skiatook and walked a short distance on the trail and then to Walmart,

Wednesday was back to Target with grammie pammie and my daddy went to the driving range (can you tell that my mom thinks Target is great- plus they have great shopping carts that my car seat fits just perfectly in), Thursday we stayed home and went on my first walk,

and then on Friday my grammie pammie came up and she made my mom and dad dinner and Jennifer came over and Ashley and Johnny!! Today we went on a big adventure all the way to Tulsa, we went to golf galaxy, then to Babies R Us timed appropriately so my mom could feed me, and then guess where- BACK to Target!! Haha- my mom laughs as she types this about just how many times she has gone to target!!!!

This week I also had my first bath- complained a little for the first bath but now I definately like them!

Annabelle's First Days!!!

So my Dad made this video tonight and we wanted to share it with everyone. My mom wants to warn some of you that it might make you cry- she hasn't stopped in about an hour or so now :). Make sure to have volume turned on!

I'm here, I'm here!!!! I decided to arrive the day before my mom's induction date, she woke up at 1:30 am on 9/18/08 with labor pains so they went to the hospital and even though my mom's contractions had slowed down to 6 min apart they were getting stronger and she was dilating so she was admitted and once the dr came at 7 am he broke her water and the contractions rapidly changed to every 3 min and then they started pitocin to make them stronger- which my mom says works REALLY well. She got an epidural about 2 hrs after all this - which she firmly believes is the greatest thing, Dr. Crans the anesthesiologist is her new best friend. Pain quickly got under control and things kept progressing. Mom called in all her friends and family to pray me down the birth canal. Her nurse was great and even though she was dilated to a 10, they had her "labor down", which just means waiting on contractions to move me down instead of making my mom "push" for hours. After 2 hours my mom started pushing with her morning nurse- Liz who stayed over just to see what my name was going to be and how big I was going to be and her new afternoon nurse. Apparently my mom is a VERY good pusher b/c they thought it was going to be a while and she only had to push for about 20 minutes or so! My mom thought this was a great thing!

I was born at 3:36 pm weighing 9 pounds 5 ounces and I am 21 inches long!!! My mom can not say enough great things about her nurses and techs at St. Francis and her doctor- Dr. Nilson. My mom and dad are very happy and excited- I have them totally wrapped around my little finger :) When we left the hospital yesterday I had only lost 5 ounces and that is very good for how big I am, I have my first doctor appointment tomorrow with Dr. McDowell.

Well my mom had her dr. appt today and I actually do want to meet my parents.... Today she was 80% effaced and dilated to a 3!!!! She is incredibly excited about this because she thought I was going to walk across the graduation stage still in her belly!

So....... If I don't decide to come before Friday, my mom will be induced on Friday and I will come out to play! Saturday is my offical "due date" so pretty much "on-time". I can't wait to come and meet everyone who has been listening to my mom whine here at the end!

38 Week Appointment Update

Yesterday my mom went to her dr. appt and guess what... I still don't want to come out. She has given up all hope and has decided that I am never coming out! Haha my little secret as to when I am coming. She hopes that the tropical storm/ rain this weekend might encourage me to come out.

My mom's friend Erin had her baby on Monday so I need to come so I can meet Baby Michael. I'll think about it! Mom doesn't feel that great, lots of pains, decreased sleeping, and I just keep making her belly bigger and bigger!! Somehow I am still able to move around in there and I kick the heck out of her!!!

Next appointment is on Monday so that my mom can update Gram before she leaves for Italy on Tuesday!!!

37 week appointment

So this am was my 37 week appt, for accuracy I will say I am 37 wks and 4 days :)! Little Babycake has no intention of coming out anytime soon and she is measuring 7 pounds 13 ounces by ultrasound. She still looks just like her daddy and I doubt that's changing either! :)

So needless to say me and my cankles will be hangin' out for a while and we will let you all know if anything changes!
