Turkey Day and the BIG BAD MOUSE!!!!

So it's been a while since I've posted- I've been really busy, hangin' with my gram gram when she came to visit, starting daycare, hosting ou/osu watch party, and lots more. This picture is with my gram gram on Turkey Day. I loved sitting with her in this rocking chair, I would just talk and laugh for hours! She's definately one of my favorite people!!!

I am laying on my changing table in this picture, I love to show off on this thing, I always start talking and smiling, it's just a good time!

Here is a "family picture", I make the 4th generation, and that's my cousin in Aunt Kristen's belly, I'll get to meet her in May!

Here we are before we ate, I decided to chew on the strap on my high chair, lots of fiber......

So I was able to get these people to get me out of my high chair and then I decided to just stare at the good food!!! Maybe next year.....

I am starting to smile all the time, my mom and dad LOVE my smiles!

I threw an OSU/OU watch party and was all decked out- I can't wait until next year when my cheerleading outfits fit!! I did go to bed early, but then I slept through ALL the SCREAMING!! My mom was amazed by it!

I did have to go and wash off the SOONER GOONER kisses my Aunt AK gave me :)

I love love love bath time and being naked afterwards!!! I was laughing and smiling for my mom and grammy pammy - it was a great way to spend a Friday night!















So on Thursday night last week Bud our cat brought in a HUGE mouse through his cat door- my mom and dad heard the mouse squeaking for his life in the jaws of Bud, so my dad got his gloves, continued to tell my mom over and over again just how big it was (he's already gotten rid of 2 in the last week- guess we know how they are getting in) compared to the other 2! He was following Bud in the kitchen, Bud finally dropped the mouse and out of all the places it jumped straight up and got in between 2 cabinets!!!! Seriously my mom said..... so at my mom's work they laughed and thought she might be blowing this mouse size out of proportion and then they said the R-A-T words---- AHHHHH!!!! So we knew the mouse was still in the house and then this morning Bud - finally being useful- started staring behind the entertainment center- Well...... there was the mouse, so my mom bought a humane trap at Wal-Mart and then her and my dad, with the help of a garage broom handle, a nice golf driver, and the humane mouse trap were able to "coax" the mouse in to the trap and Walah! Mouse in trap......

So as you can see it was not the R-A-T variety and really was a HUGE feild mouse, they say survival of the fittest and he got another pass because yes- we did set him free in the front yard!

I know this was long but I had a lot to say and I did it during the 3 hour nap I took today for my mom and dad!!!!!!!

Two month check up and more!!!

I had my 2 month check up on November 19th, I was pretty fussy after my shots but my gram gram (great-gma) came to town from Florida that day and she made me feel better :). I weighed 14.7 pounds! That puts me in the 99.74%ile :)!!

This is me and my gram gram on Turkey Day! This is me before I went to daycare the first day. It's going okay but I was mad at my mom and dad on Monday and Tuesday night so I gave them the silent treatment and blank stares... Miss Julie says I am adjusting well, it will just take some time. I have started taking my bottle without any problems which helps my mom feel better.

Updates that are way over due!!!!

My mom and I went to Bartlesville to see my dad and go to a "grandma" shower, this is my daddy's office- I never said you could find anything in his office.... :)
I went to my first homecoming this year- I was only about 4 weeks old, but it was a GOOD time!

My mom broke down and put a bow on me- had to make sure I didn't look like a boy in my jersey that my dad got me!

I was about 6 weeks old at halloween and the weekend before I went to my friends London and Jack's one year old birthday party- I liked my costume that day, but definately didn't like it on Halloween, it was too HOT!! My dad took off on Halloween and we all went to Pumpkin Town! Here are some pictures we took.

This is one of my early "smiling" pictures, I didn't used to like to do it, but now I do it all the time! I really like to smile and talk when I get up in the morning... even BEFORE I eat!!

Here are a couple of pictures of me and my friends. The first one is Michael and I, he's 10 days older, but I am pretty sure I've got him beat in weight! :)

This is my new friend Nora, our mom's work together, she really isn't that little, but she wasn't even 24 hours old when I met her, so she was still all smushed up from being in her mommy's belly. Nora weighted 7lbs 1oz at birth, so she really isn't that little.

I went to my first Homecoming, but that picture is earlier,- this is our family picture at another OSU football game! I have already been to 2 OSU tailgates! I don't go to the games b/c I would have to buy a ticket even though I fit on my mom's lap!

Update... dang computer viruses

Well my parent's computer has a virus so my mom can't update the blog at home... we have lots of cute pictures to put up if they ever get it sorted out!!!

I went to my first OSU Homecoming, we just tailgated, didn't go to the game b/c at OSU my mom and dad would of had to BUY little me a ticket!!!

I am sleeping really good for my mom and eating like a little piglet! My mom went by her work today to get a flu shot and I got weighed and the scale there says I weigh 13lbs 12 ounces!!!!! Seriously I am only 6 weeks old today!! So then my mom put it on the growth chart and I am not even on there!!! Oh well, breast fed babies get big and fat and I don't want to change that!

Hopefully my dad can fix the computer so my mom can put cute pictures of homecoming and my first bday party that I went to. It was my friends' London and Jack's 1st bday and I wore my penguin costume and it was SOOOOO cute!!!!

Sleeping...

Warning my mom has hijacked my computer and is posting... so I have to brag about my baby!! We put her in her big girl crib on Monday night b/c she is such a noisy sleeper, well.... the last 2 nights she has slept 7 hours!!!!! I can't believe it. I thought Wed night was a fluke but she did it again last night!! woo hoo!

Crib time, 4 weeks old, first bottle feeding!

Well this week has been another eventful week of firsts! Today I am 4 weeks old and my parent's can't believe how big I am and how much I do now! When I am awake I am so alert and if we are on a walk or I am in one of my carriers on my mom or dad- I better be able to see or I will let you know all about it!!!
My mom decided it was time to "introduce the bottle"- insert dum dum dum music here. Now it's still breast milk, but it's the bottle. It had to be done because she will be going back to work the week of Turkey Day and everything she read said to do it between 3-6 weeks or little babies like me might refuse it. Well she wasn't prepared for just how good I was going to do. She only put a little less then 2 ounces because if I didn't take it she didn't want to waste any precious, hard earned milk! Well I slurped that down in less then 5 minutes for my dad and I just stared at him with this funny face the entire time I was eating- I have to admit he and I are pretty precious- see below :)

After bottle time my dad and I had "baby play time" which is an almost nightly ritual on the floor.

Real baths, baby friends, and more!

The past week has been good times! I have met some new friends and on this past Saturday we hung out at home and watched football all day. This was my first OSU spirit outfit and then I pooped all over it so we moved on to the outfit that you will see later on!!






On Monday I went over to my mom's friend Erin's house and met my new friend Michael- he is 10 days older then me, but our moms think that I am bigger- he does have about an inch of length on me- his dad is 6'7" so he will most likely be a tad bit taller
Last Saturday my new friends Ella and Jack came over to meet me, if you didn't notice they are twins. Their mom is my mom's good friend Angela. Jack was trying to give me love taps while we were taking pictures!

I was taking a nap in my bassinet that my Grammie Pammie got me and my mom just thought it was REALLY cute!!

Last week was my first time to play on my play mat- the very first time I stayed on it for an hour! Gave my mom a break! Then a couple of days later I talked to gram on the phone while playing on my mat- she was finally home from her adventure in Italy, so I got to talk to her!

My mom was trying to be "artistic" in this picture. I had my professional pictures taken last Friday so those will probably be MUCH cuter!!

I have had sponge baths before but last week I got my firt "tub" bath- I love the bath tub, if I am crying I will just stop ans sit in the tub as long as my parents let me!!

Meet the Journeycake's!!!

So like the other posts this one is a little late, my mom just has so many other things that need to be done! When I was a 1 1/2 weeks old we went to Oklahoma City to meet the Journeycake side of the family! I am with my dad and cousin Kaydie in this picture.
