Update... dang computer viruses

Well my parent's computer has a virus so my mom can't update the blog at home... we have lots of cute pictures to put up if they ever get it sorted out!!!

I went to my first OSU Homecoming, we just tailgated, didn't go to the game b/c at OSU my mom and dad would of had to BUY little me a ticket!!!

I am sleeping really good for my mom and eating like a little piglet! My mom went by her work today to get a flu shot and I got weighed and the scale there says I weigh 13lbs 12 ounces!!!!! Seriously I am only 6 weeks old today!! So then my mom put it on the growth chart and I am not even on there!!! Oh well, breast fed babies get big and fat and I don't want to change that!

Hopefully my dad can fix the computer so my mom can put cute pictures of homecoming and my first bday party that I went to. It was my friends' London and Jack's 1st bday and I wore my penguin costume and it was SOOOOO cute!!!!

Sleeping...

Warning my mom has hijacked my computer and is posting... so I have to brag about my baby!! We put her in her big girl crib on Monday night b/c she is such a noisy sleeper, well.... the last 2 nights she has slept 7 hours!!!!! I can't believe it. I thought Wed night was a fluke but she did it again last night!! woo hoo!

Crib time, 4 weeks old, first bottle feeding!

Well this week has been another eventful week of firsts! Today I am 4 weeks old and my parent's can't believe how big I am and how much I do now! When I am awake I am so alert and if we are on a walk or I am in one of my carriers on my mom or dad- I better be able to see or I will let you know all about it!!!
My mom decided it was time to "introduce the bottle"- insert dum dum dum music here. Now it's still breast milk, but it's the bottle. It had to be done because she will be going back to work the week of Turkey Day and everything she read said to do it between 3-6 weeks or little babies like me might refuse it. Well she wasn't prepared for just how good I was going to do. She only put a little less then 2 ounces because if I didn't take it she didn't want to waste any precious, hard earned milk! Well I slurped that down in less then 5 minutes for my dad and I just stared at him with this funny face the entire time I was eating- I have to admit he and I are pretty precious- see below :)

After bottle time my dad and I had "baby play time" which is an almost nightly ritual on the floor.

Real baths, baby friends, and more!

The past week has been good times! I have met some new friends and on this past Saturday we hung out at home and watched football all day. This was my first OSU spirit outfit and then I pooped all over it so we moved on to the outfit that you will see later on!!






On Monday I went over to my mom's friend Erin's house and met my new friend Michael- he is 10 days older then me, but our moms think that I am bigger- he does have about an inch of length on me- his dad is 6'7" so he will most likely be a tad bit taller
Last Saturday my new friends Ella and Jack came over to meet me, if you didn't notice they are twins. Their mom is my mom's good friend Angela. Jack was trying to give me love taps while we were taking pictures!

I was taking a nap in my bassinet that my Grammie Pammie got me and my mom just thought it was REALLY cute!!

Last week was my first time to play on my play mat- the very first time I stayed on it for an hour! Gave my mom a break! Then a couple of days later I talked to gram on the phone while playing on my mat- she was finally home from her adventure in Italy, so I got to talk to her!

My mom was trying to be "artistic" in this picture. I had my professional pictures taken last Friday so those will probably be MUCH cuter!!

I have had sponge baths before but last week I got my firt "tub" bath- I love the bath tub, if I am crying I will just stop ans sit in the tub as long as my parents let me!!

Meet the Journeycake's!!!

So like the other posts this one is a little late, my mom just has so many other things that need to be done! When I was a 1 1/2 weeks old we went to Oklahoma City to meet the Journeycake side of the family! I am with my dad and cousin Kaydie in this picture.

18 Days Old!!!

So it's been a while since my mom updated everyone, so she will try to fit it all in here! Today I had my 2 week check-up and I am growing like a little weed- should be given how much milk I drink... I weighed 10 pounds even and was 21 1/4 inches long, that's the 90th %ile for weight and 70%ile for height. I look perfect and my next check up will be at 2 months and then I will get my first set of immunizations- mom's not very excited about that...

This is my in my boppy bouncer, it just sits in the middle of the living room and I spend a fair amount of time in it. It gives my mom and dad a break from holding me! In this picture I am wearing a sleeping "gown" and my mom wishes she invented these so she could be a millionaire!

I really am a good baby, I really only cry when I am hungry, and I don't care about dirty diapers or anything else really. But let me tell you when I am ready to eat... it better happen FAST!

Last week my mom went to lunch with her friend Erin and Ashley V. Erin had a baby, Michael, and he is 10 days older then me. We were both very well behaved babies and slept right through lunch at Compadres (a very yummy Mexican restaurant).

My Grammie Pammie came over last week and we got to hang out a lot! She came on Monday, the first day my dad went back to work and luckily the same day that my mom's baby blues finally went away! She has decided the term "baby blues" can be quite an understatement! She would just cry all the time, happy crying, but still...... She thought it would never end but it did and now she feels so much better! Her main concern now is how she is going to go back to work 5 days a week, so they are talking to see if we can afford her to only work 4 days a week. More good news is that my Grammie is going to watch me on Fridays that that will be a treat!Here is a family picture from when my mom is obviously tired, but thinks it's soooooo worth it! Yesterday we met my Pops and Grammie at Utica Square. My dad and Pops walked around while my mom and Grammie got pedicures, then we all went to lunch at Olive Garden, I even ate some under a draped blanket!

This weekend Aunt Andie and Uncle Jason came to visit from Dallas just to see me- it was great to have them here!

So for right now those are the highlights, I am doing GREAT and my mom and dad can't even put words on how much they love me and how much their lives are blessed that I am here! I let my mom sleep a little and she doesn't care because I am WORTH IT!!!
